I've been more than excited to embrace fall but unfortunately my skin is having none of it. :( With the wildly fluctuating temperatures I'm suffering from more dryness and sensitivity than usual and have had to make some changes to my nightly skincare routine. Read on to find out what products have come to my rescue and how I use them.

First things first... before putting any skincare on my face I remove all my makeup with my trusty Clinique take the day off makeup remover. I know the oily finish isn't for everyone but I find that this is one of the only products that removes waterproof mascara without rubbing. I follow up with the First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser which is excellent at melting away daily grime and leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean.

Now let's get down to business... an eye cream is a must morning and night so I smooth on a tiny amount of the Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm which has been my go to for a while now thanks to its balmy consistency. After that it's time for some healing action,  for the past few weeks I've been trying out the new Peter Thomas Roth 3% Retinoid Plus serum and I have to say I'm a fan. I wake up with more radiant skin without having any of the irritation you can sometimes get from even OTC retinol products.

After about 40 minutes or an episode of fall TV (Scream Queens anyone!?) when the serum has had time to sink in and start working its magic it's time for the key moisturizing layer. For fall I'm mixing 2 pumps of DERMAdoctor Calm Cool & Corrected cream with about 3-4 drops of Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops in Calming (also love the Hydrating variety) in the palm of my hand and then pat it on my face. I find that layering these two products gives me just the right amount of hydration without leaving my skin sticky or oily.

Finally, a fluffed pillow and 7-8 hours of sleep... Zzzzzzz.... glowing-from-within skin guaranteed.

Let me know how your skincare routine has changed for fall and if there are any products you swear by.
