Bold in Gold Travel Essentials Carryon

It’s finally 2015 and that means that it’s time for my vacation!!! As I get ready to head out for some well-deserved and long-awaited sunshine, I thought I'd give you a quick look at my carry-on essentials...
  • I am always freezing on planes and while sometimes I make do with the yukkie airplane blanket, whenever possible I bring my own cuddly (and nasties-free) version. My current favorite is this Zara blanket scarf which is extra soft and due to the handy color blocking matches all of my destination outfits.
  • I’m a big fan of magazines but rarely get the time to sit down and read one cover to cover. Flights give me hours and hours of uninterrupted me-time which I use to pore over pages of InStyle.
  • My iPad mini is there to hold my ebooks and TV shows or for working on blog posts.
  • The lipstick pen is ridiculously cute and compact. Plus it’s the only pen I never lose!
  • Flights are worst for my skin so while I struggle to drink enough water, I never forget to spray my face with the Evian facial spray.
  • After spritzing on my water spray I follow up with the Bioderma Sensibio Light soothing cream. It’s just heavy enough to hydrate but doesn’t leave my face sticky. Also it’s fragrance free so I don’t have to worry about irritation.
  • Eye cream is another important part of my flight skincare routine. I swear by this Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm which helps smooth and plump my under-eye area.
  • I generally struggle with dry lips (probably the side effect of not drinking enough water) so the Blistex medicated lip ointment has become my permanent companion. It’s great at providing instant relief and as far as I’m concerned it’s the only thing that actually heals my lips.
  • Last but not the least, I recently discovered Lipstick Queen and now cannot leave the house without swiping on a layer of this pigmented Glossy Pencil lip balm. I’m a firm believer that while I might look tired after a long flight it’s nothing a swipe of bright red on the lips can’t fix.
